About the Club Director
Growing up, basketball and soccer were the dominant sports in my community, and organized club volleyball wasn’t readily available. I didn’t discover my passion for volleyball until high school, and it wasn’t until the summer before my senior year that I truly committed to the sport. Attending the USC recruitment camp as a junior was a pivotal moment when I realized my love for basketball had faded, and volleyball became my focus.
After competing at the Volleyball State Championship in my senior year, I was recruited by Julie Morgan to play at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UH Hilo), a Division II program. I red-shirted my first year, played one season at UH Hilo, followed by one season at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and completed my collegiate volleyball career at Vanguard University.
In 2017, driven by the desire to provide local girls in Waimea with access to volleyball without the need to travel long distances, my husband, parents, and I launched a volleyball club. Joining me were respected coaches Sheila Kinzer, Michael (Uncle Mike) Fernandez, and Shelton (Dude) Kalilikane. We started with two 18's teams, and the program has continued to grow since then.

Coaching Goal: Share the love & knowledge I have for the sport. Building each athletes ‘Tool Box’ and showing them how to use each tool in their tool box.

Coaching Goal: My goal is to prepare the girls to be the best volleyball players they can be, as well as teaching them to be good teammates, friends, and human beings.

Coaching Goal: to provide a safe and supported space for the youth of our community to learn and grow through volleyball.

Coaching Goal: As a coach my goal is to teach these girls the knowledge & skills I know & was taught for them to grow & eventually become better players.

Coaching Goal: My goal in coaching is to instill a love for volleyball in these players. I hope to encourage them to build confidence in themselves and their skills through hard work, a willingness to learn and commitment to the team.

Coaching Goal: Goal as a coach is to build players into great people on and off the court. I want to help them reach their goals with the knowledge I have learned and developed through my own journey in volleyball and life.

Administration

Wellness CoachI am the team’s Wellness Coach. I provide support and guidance to ensure the health and well being of our players.
My goal is to provide support for our players and coaching staff in anyway I can.

Administrative CoordinatorMost times you can find him taking notes or typing on his computer. Serving the club from behind the scenes, he is there to assist with more logistics and event planning. Eric is the Co-Captain of the Kamuela VC Men's Volleyball Team.
